SSLC and Plus Two course 

The students have to participate in the examination conducted by National Institute of Open School, a central government venture in every April / October.

They are eligible to apply for all courses and jobs that are applicable to those who passed the State government’s SSLC or Plus Two. Those who successfully complete the course are eligible for the Medical, Engineering, IT courses as well as any other professional courses. All Indian universities accept our courses. The importance of Plus Two is increasing as it is the basic requirement of many jobs including those applicable through PSC. Those who pass this course are eligible to apply for both state and central government jobs.

The students who discontinued SSLC/Plus Two due to various reasons can appear for the exam and complete it successfully within a year. We have exam centers in all districts except Idukki, outside Kerala and in Gulf countries. Both SSLC and Plus Two courses can be done as correspondence courses. These courses are accredited by both central and state government, there is no age limit.

SSLC (Secondary Course)

Those who had completed 14 years can apply. There is no age limit for this course. There will be 13 subjects including language. Of these, the student can select 5 subjects. 2 languages are compulsory and the other 3 subjects are free to choose. These four exams can be written either in English or in Malayalam.

Languages: English, Hindi, Malayalam.
Subjects: Mathematics, Science & Technology, Social Science, Economics, Business Studies, Home Science, Word Processing (English),Psycology, Indian Culture and Heritage.

Science and Technology, Home Science and Word Processing groups have both theory as well as practical examinations.

Plus Two (Senior Secondary Course)

The candidates who passed SSLC and completed 17 years are eligible to apply for Plus Two course. For +12 exams, there will be 17 subjects of which the students can choose 2 languages and 3 subjects. The main exam can be written either in Malayalam or in English. The main languages are as follows:

Languages: English, Hindi
Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Word Processing (English), Psychology, Computer Science, Sociology.
Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Word Processing, Home Science groups have practical as well as theory exams.

Course Details

Both SSLC and Plus Two can be done as correspondence courses. It can be done as part time or distant education course. Those who can not attend regular classes can do in house study. After course registration, the study materials for the five subjects you selected will reach you through post. After registration, you will get text from NIOS before the main exam.

There will be contact classes on two Sundays of every month from January to September 2012. The date of contact classes will be informed earlier.

The students can do Science, Commerce and Humanities separately. The students have to select the subject based on his future career plans. For instance, those who wish to continue their studies in BSc or Medical or Engineering or Nursing field must select Science subjects.

The students who do Plus Two Science group will have a compulsory 15 day’s compulsory contact classes. Physics, Chemistry and Biology will have practical lab. Contact classes are compulsory for Science group students. Those doing SSLC and Plus Two correspondence will be provided with required Records, Assignments and Practical works.

Fees structure

 SSLC  Rs. 8,500/-
 Plus Two(Commerce/Humanities)  Rs. 8,800/-
 Plus Two (Science)  Rs. 14,800/-

Examination fee needs to be paid as DD.The examination for those subjects with Practical exams. Examination fees is not included in the above mentioned fees.(The exam fee will be different in Gulf countries).

Fees Payment

SSLC- The students who are doing correspondence course have to pay Rs 4500/- as registration fees. The remaining Rs 4000/- can be paid in January / July

Plus Two (Commerce/Humanities)- Those who are doing correspondence course have to pay Rs 4,800/- as registration fee. The remaining Rs 4,000 must be paid in in January / July

Plus Two (Science): Students pursuing correspondence must pay Rs7800/- as Registration fee.The remaining amount of Rs.7000 /- must be paid in January / July

Examination

The main exam will be conducted in October /April. In Kerala there are examination centers in all districts except Idukki. There are examination centers in all other Indian states as well as in Gulf countries. The students can choose their examination centers at their convenience. The certificate will be given in December  after the examination.

We receive those applications send as registered post only.

(DD must be taken in favor of  Rashtrabharathi, Cochin).
